HIPAA 5010

Beginning January 1, 2012, all electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions must be in the X12 5010 format. These standards will yield greater accuracy and efficiency for all electronic transactions and will be able to accommodate the mandatory ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS code sets which are scheduled to be implemented on October 1, 2013
